Virginia Fertility & IVF is proud to welcome Dr. Linnea Goodman to our practice. Dr. Goodman comes to us with years of knowledge and experience. We can’t wait for you to meet her!
Dr. Linnea Goodman grew up in Essex, Vermont. She is married and has two sons. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering with Honors from Columbia University, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Graduate Medical Education
Dr. Goodman attended the University of Vermont College of Medicine where she received her medical degree in 2009 and was awarded the Charles and Sylvia Schechtman Prize for Excellence in Clinical Care. She completed her residency training in OB/GYN at the University of North Carolina Hospitals where she received several accolades including the Golden Tarheel Teaching Award and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy award for minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Goodman then continued her training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Cleveland Clinic fellowship program, with a special interest in reproductive surgery.
Professional Experience
After graduating in 2016, Dr. Goodman spent two years as the medical director of the operating room at Reproductive Medicine Associates in New Jersey, followed by serving on the faculty at UNC as medical director from 2018-2021. Her research focused on technology in medicine, and optimizing reproductive outcomes. She received national recognition earning her grant funding from multiple distinguished foundations.
Dr. Goodman is passionate about providing individualized patient-centered care. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologist and sub-specialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is an active member of the Society of Reproductive Surgeons.
We are excited to have Dr. Linnea Goodman join our practice in March of 2021.
